Applied Music Lessons-
This class will be open to anyone willing to improve their individual skills on an instrument, with their voice, or on the piano.  The student’s skill level will be assessed at the beginning of the term, and goals will be set to be reached by the end of the semester.

We will use any method book or solo book that the student has at home.  I will also be using books available at Jewell High School to implement the instruction to reach our goals for the semester.

Music Appreciation I-
This class will look at music history from the Renaissance, Baroque, and Classical periods.  We will be using the text of Roger Kamien’s Music: An Appreciation, seventh edition.  The class will look at the composers of each period, and  the musical styles and how they changed in each period.  This will be accomplished through reading the text and listening to examples of music from each time period.
