Hello! 

I am Mr. Dennis Wahlgren and I am new to the virtual world of Smoky Valley Virtual Charter School this year.  I have taught computer classes and coached basketball for many years at Salina South, as well as taught math and coached at several schools prior to that- totaling thirty-six years of experience.  I am eager to try my hand at this new opportunity in education at SVVCS.

My goal in the classroom has always been to challenge students to think critically, to reason, apply the information in a successful manner, and get the most out of my student’s abilities.

I live in Salina, KS with my wife Jeanie.  We have three children: Chad, Leah, and Brett.
