Please feel free to use this website as an up-to-date resource to obtain information from the SVHS counseling department.  In addition, the bulletin board outside the counseling office is a GREAT resource for students of all grade levels.  Daily announcements and counseling department emails are also beneficial resources.  Please feel free to contact Lana Charvat with any questions or concerns throughout the school year at lcharvat@smokyvalley.org or 785.227.2909.  I would be happy to assist you!

Mrs. Charvat will be completing individual student conferences using the following schedule (parents are welcome to attend):

1st Semester:  Senior Conferences starting in September

                        Freshmen Conferences following Senior Conf.

2nd Semester:  Junior Conferences starting in January

                        Sophomore Conferences, small groups to discuss PLAN

SVHS Counselor:  LANA CHARVAT

In 2002, I graduated from Fort Hays State University with a BA in English Education.  More recently, in 2008, I completed my MS in school counseling at Emporia State University.  This is my 5th year in the field of school counseling, and I learn more and more each year.  I look forward to another great school year with the Vikings!
