Welcome To 5th Grade!
Are you ready for a great year at Smoky Valley Middle School? This will be my sixth year as a Language Arts and Reading teacher here in Lindsborg. I am looking forward to a fun-filled year!
Some fun things to look forward to will be using laptops, including Garage Band and Power Point. This will also be your first year for learning keyboarding. Your year will also be filled with fun group projects and research. And best of all, you will have your own laptop to use at school!

Siblings: 2 sisters; Laura just graduated from K-State and is pursuing a career in theater. Suzy is a Junior at Bethany and is majoring in art
Husband: I have been married to my husband Ben for one year now. We are going to have our first kiddo, a girl, in October. We now live in Hillsboro, but I still love being in Lindsborg!
Sports: I played volleyball, basketball, and softball all four years of high school. I continued to play softball in college. I was a setter in volleyball, a guard in basketball, and a pitcher in softball. Once I got to college, I split my playing time between pitching and second base. I love sports!
Pets: I don’t have any pets right now. Growing up I had anything from rabbits to snails, cats and dogs, even the occasional wild animal! My family helped raise an opossum, a raccoon, and a few birds.
