Welcome to the 6th grade! I am Mrs. Norland, and it is my pleasure to be your 6th grade Social Studies and Spelling teacher! What new places have you visited? I have been to Europe, once, and this summer I traveled to Nashville, Tennessee, and Chicago! My favorite state is Maine. Whether you have been on trips or not, together we are going to explore incredible places around the world, such as the ancient civilizations of Egypt and China! That will be like a time-traveling experience! I have many goals for you, including learning the names and locations of countries in Asia, Europe, Africa and South America! Yes, you will be able to do it! There will be many fascinating stories to read, research to explore, videos to watch, projects to create, and more! You will be amazed at how much you learn, and how fun our journey will be along the way! Let’s have a great year!
